conTeyor’s Cable Harness Sleeves – an installation aid to help guide cables through holes in metal sheets and rails - are unique in the market. We develop various guiding elements: raindrops, curved PP plate and tie strap etc. with or without reinforcement plates. Cable Harness Sleeves can be produced from non ESD or ESD textiles in numerous colors and prints for clear differentiation and multiple variants.
Features in detail
Raindrop (20mm):
The shape of the raindrop is an important feature, depending on which trajectory the cable harness is used during installation. In-house design and development for your individual needs. The connection of the raindrop to the tie strap is an important feature due to the high force generated when pulling the cable harnesses during assembly. By injection molding, raindrop connection to strip is secured without any glue. The length of the strip is adjustable (max. 1350mm).
Curved plate:
Shape and stiffness of the curved plate is also an important feature that depends on the trajectory used to pull the cable harness in assembly.
Stretch band:
The length and extension of the stretch band depends upon how the cable harness is pulled through the car.
Connection sleeve to tie strap:
Sleeve and tie strap are connected by a shrink wrap. This shrink wrap connection is a crucial element, considering the high forces during assembly.
Hook:
Often hooks are used to attach the sleeve to the body of the car during assembly.
Textile :
We have developed a new textile which is based on a very strong monofilament w/o coating to create a high durability (200,000 cycles Martindale test on both sides without any damage on the textile). The new textile has a permanent ESD thread included, to create a surface resistivity of 109 ohm. On request the sleeve can be produced from ESD or non ESD and the material will be laser cut for serial production. Regarding the strength and durability of the textile: the breaking strength is 1200N and the tearing strength is100N.
The textile is available in 15 standard colors (deliverable from stock) and leadtimes for prototypes can be reduced to one week.
