By developing this solution (for Atlas Copco) we increased ergonomics, safety and handling efficiency, eliminating any risk of damaged parts.
The problem
Our client’s initial demand was to optimize storage and (return-) transportation which could be stackable, flexible and exchangeable with the number of components and assembly lines. Their objective was to improve ergonomics and save costs on scrap.
The solution
Our solution was a modular frame, a one-system-fits-all, used to store and transport multiple configurations to provide optimal protection of components. The solution was stackable, only 1300mm high and designed to be flexible in fitting all sizes of components up to 2400mm length.
The result
By developing this solution we increased ergonomics and handling efficiency with complete flexibility in size of components which saved on the Total Cost of Ownership.
